About 211 Illinois
211 Illinois is the lead entity for the designation of the 2-1-1 number and provides oversight of 2-1-1 services in Illinois. We coordinate, fund, and guide the 211 Illinois Statewide Network toward achieving high-quality service delivery. We invest in training and education, support and drive I&R and Contact Center best practices, and invest in the core services of 211 across Illinois. These activities lead to service alignment, standardization, and continuity of 211 services statewide.
We work collaboratively statewide with our United Way, Health Department, and Government partners to advocate, market, promote, and outreach to the local community around 211 services. We also provide technical assistance and guidance to 211 contact centers as well as local, state, and federal partners to educate them about the impact of the 211 Illinois Statewide Network on Illinois residents.
Mission
Illinois 211 serves as the statewide gateway connecting all people and organizations to high-quality health and human services information and resources, 24/7/365.
Vision
Expand 2-1-1 coverage in Illinois by partnering with not for profits and government organizations to connect people and organizations to community services, disaster relief services, and volunteer opportunities.
